In this project, we found and see Pertiwi as a totem, one of them in the forms of sacred food that is familiar in the Malay culture named Pulut Kuning. This was one of Kamiliah Bahdar's recent research.

Pulut Kuning

Kamiliah’s research interest is in exploring sacred rice dishes in Malay culture—including its role in rituals and its symbolic significance.

Much of the form and meaning of sacred rice dishes reflects its origin in a traditional agrarian society, but how might the form be played with and adapted to reflect the urban environment of Singapore?
